There are lots of factors which can effect your silver per hour when grinding. Most of the best spots really depend on RNG drops to make them worthwhile, but you can still improve your trash loot, which can mean more monster kills and higher chances of getting those drops. With these tips below you can make sure you are getting the best possible silver per hour when grinding!
Ideally, you want to have five T3 or T4 pets for grinding. It doesn’t really matter what type of pets you have but if possible I recommend getting one Polar bear pet because it gives weight limit increase which is great for grinders.
You should also make sure that you pets are set to Agile when grinding!
This lowers the cooldown time for your pets to pick up loot and can make a big difference to your trash loot.
Make sure you are using the best possible crystals for grinding that you can afford.
Here is an example of the best in slot crystals which are suitable for all classes:
Crystal of Elkarrx2
(weapon)
All Accuracy +12 / Ignore All Resistance +10%
(can also use Black Magic Crystal – Precision, which is much cheaper)
Corrupted Magic Crystalx2
(sub-weapon)
Critical Hit Damge +10%, All AP +2, All Damage Reduction -2, 2 set: Critical Hit Damage +2%
HAN Magic Crystal – Hoomx2
(helmet)
Hoom 4 set – 8 Accuracy, 7% Resistance, 420 HP, 10 Damage Reduction, 8 Evasion
Magical Crystal of Infinity – Evasionx2
(chest)
Special Attack Evasion Rate +10%
JIN Black Magic Crystal – Viperx2
(gloves)
Attack Speed +1, Casting Speed +1, Accuracy 20
HAN Magic Crystal – Hoomx2
(shoes)
Hoom 4 set – 8 Accuracy, 7% Resistance, 420 HP, 10 Damage Reduction, 8 Evasion
You may also choose to use Red Battlefield Crystal: Adamantine (x2) in your boots and then use the HAN hooms in your helmet and chest. For newer players I would personally recommended doing this for the knockdown/bound resistance which is very nice in Aakman if your DP is low.
Skill addons do make quite a difference and you should be using PVE addons to get the best possible trash loot and silver per hour. I recommend taking a look at our class guides for examples of PVE skill addons if you aren’t sure how to set yours up.
Item collection scrolls can be used to give you an item drop rate and item drop amount buff for 60 minutes. This means that you will get a higher chance of rare RNG drops as well as higher trash loot when using them. I recommend saving your item collection scrolls until you are grinding in Aakman or higher to make the most out of the increased trash loot they provide.
There are two types of scrolls:
Item Collection Increase Scroll (60 min)
- Obtained from various events
- Effects: Item Drop Rate +100%, Item Drop Amount +50%
Item Collection Increase Scroll: Advanced (60 min)
- Obtained by heating Item Collection Increase Scroll x2
- Effects: Item Drop Rate +100%, Item Drop Amount +100%
Agris Fever is a buff which can be activated by right-clicking the icon in the top left of your screen. The buff provides you with an increase in trash loot drops which can greatly improve your silver income. The upgraded Agris Fever can give a 150% increase in trash loot drop amount. Which can also stack with other buffs up to 200%.
However, you only have a limited amount of points each day and points are used up every time you kill a monster. If you haven’t unlocked your Agris Fever yet then I highly recommend doing so because it is very easy and only takes around 10 minutes to unlock, and then can be upgraded by killing various mobs. Take a look at our guide for more information.
Gaining knowledge of various monsters gives you a total amount of Ecology points depending on the knowledge grade. For example, having [S] grade knowledge of a mob will give you 10 points. Depending on your total points, you can get a permanent item drop rate increase buff. You can find this by pressing (H) to open the knowledge window and the information is shown at the bottom.
Points per grade | |||
---|---|---|---|
S | 10 points | B | 1 point |
A+ | 5 points | C | 1 point |

Over 3000 | Item Drop Rate +10% | Over 8000 | Item Drop Rate +20% |
If you have invested contribution into a node, you can then use energy to increase the node’s level.
Increasing the node level does give a small Item Drop Rate buff but the buff is only applied 10% of the time. So it will only be applied every 10 mobs you kill.
Investing in the Aakman node does not work for grinding in Aakman Temple/Hystria.
Energy Needed | Level of Node | Item Drop Rate Increase |

0 | 1 | +5% |
100 | 2 | +10% |

Perfecting your rotation, pulls and skill rotations can make a big difference in your clear speed and effect your overall loot. I highly recommend watching guides and videos showing possible trash per hour for your class in certain spots.
Here are a few of our favourites:
ALS = Advanced Loot Scroll
You should be using the Kutum offhand for PVE and want to get it to at least TET so you can do most of the endgame spots.
Once you reach 261 AP with TET Nouver, you will want to stop using Kutum for PVE, until you reach 265 AP with TET Kutum, then swap back to Kutum. After many tests, it is confirmed that Nouver performs better than Kutum in these brackets. More information about AP and DP brackers can be found here
Although harder to obtain, Blackstar weapons are better than Kzarka for PVE. TET Blackstar will perform better than TET Kzarka because of the increased monster damage it provides as well as the increased sheet AP, which will probably put you into a higher AP bracket. Both of these combined can give you up to a 10% increase in clear speed and increase both your trash loot and overall silver per hour.
For most classes, the succession kit is faster at clearing in end game PVE spots. If you really want to min-max your profits then you should play whichever is best for your class. You can find more information about succession and find out which is best for you in our class guides.
Unfortunely, your FPS and internet does effect your clear speed. A high frame rate will increase the skill speed animation and can also allow you to do skill cancels that other players with lower FPS would not be able to do. Although you can’t always do much about your FPS, I highly recommend reading this guide on reddit which can show you how to properly change your settings in-game as well as other tips and tricks to help improve your PC performance specifically for BDO.
